See below for the closest airports to Roanoke, VA. Note that there is an airport in Roanoke, VA - but it is very small and usually more expensive to fly into. We find that the cheapest option is usually to fly into IAD (Dulles/Washington DC) and drive to Roanoke (~3 hours). Let us know if you are flying into any of the Metro DC area airports and we can arrange to pick you up. There are also regional flights from IAD to Roanoke if you'd like to pick up a connection there.
As most of Laura's family are local and won't need to book accommodations, we have not reserved a block of hotel rooms - but there are plenty of hotels in the Roanoke area that should be widely available on and around the wedding date. See below for a few hotels that are close to the house.
There are rental cars available at any of the airports listed above with all major rental agencies: Enterprise, Hertz, AVIS/Budget. However, as mentioned before, reach out to Ryan and Laura if you'd rather be chauffeured and we can work out a plan to transport you to Roanoke.
Another option once flying into the DC Metro area is to take an Amtrak train to Roanoke, VA. There is not a train station at IAD, so you will need to take the metro, bus, or taxi to the nearest train station.
